Fishing with a big net, Aug. 31 at Yamami Beach in Chita
It is great fun to catch fish. As we drew the net out of the water, we
pulled up more than 153 fish onto the shore. All participants enjoyed fish
barbecue at Utsumi Forest Park.
PANICHIDA for Russian captives in 1904-05
April
Every year, the Nagoya church and the Russia-Japan Association celebrate a Panichida for Russian captives who died during the Russo-Japanese War of 1904-1905. In Heiwa-koen Cemetery, 15 Russians found eternal sleep.
Immersion, the first trial after World War II
According to the Orthodox tradition, immersion is necessary for baptism. But due to practical obstacles, in Japan, immersion had not been carried out for a long time.
On the Occasion of the baptism for David, a young student, Fr. George prepared a big bucket. Looking at this traditional rite, all the attendants recognized the important meaning of Baptism - the death and resurrection in Christ.

Before and after Pascha, some Romanian babies were baptized in Handa and Nagoya.

PASCHA April 27, 2003
Many people from various countries gathered and celebrated Pascha. On this day, the Gospel of St. John was read in Japanese, Greek, English, Spanish, Russian, Romanian, and Georgian to show that the Gospel was preached throughout the world.
